Toyota has been judged Australia's most trusted car brand for the seventh year in a row in a survey conducted for Reader's Digest Australia.
The accolade comes as Toyota reaches several major milestones, including its 75th anniversary as a global company and 25 years of building Camry in Australia.
The latest "most trusted" victory follows a year in which Toyota overcame natural disasters in Japan and Thailand to record its ninth consecutive year as the best-selling automotive brand in Australia.
Toyota has also been confirmed as the world's top automaker for the first half of this year, selling 4.97 million vehicles globally - about 300,000 ahead of its nearest rival.
Reader's Digest Australia, reporting the results of its survey, said a trusted brand with a loyal group of customers is a "hot property".
"In uncertain times, it's the brands that continue to offer quality and substance that continue to enjoy Australians' trust," the magazine said.
"A product that is dependable and meets our expectations is a valuable asset to a company. Customers who trust a product - and the company behind the product - become repeat buyers, and this loyalty can span years, generations, lifetimes even."

Toyota Australia's executive director sales and marketing Matthew Callachor said the company regarded it as an honour to be named the most trusted car company among more than 50 brands operating in Australia.
"Over more than half a century, Toyota has worked hard to deliver Australian customers with top-quality vehicles that are reliable, long-lasting and fuel-efficient - at prices that represent great value for money," Mr Callachor said.
"Toyota is also proud to support local jobs and the economy by building the Camry, Camry Hybrid and V6 Aurion right here in Australia."
Australian motorists have bought more than 5.5 million Toyota vehicles while a further one million locally built Toyota cars have been exported.
